What is PTO?
The PTO is for parents and teachers who are interested in what's going on at Ordway. It is designed to bring information about the school and the school district to the parents. It is also the fundraising arm of the school. It gives parents and teachers an opportunity to talk to one another and work together to make Ordway a great place to learn. If you are a parent of an Ordway student, you are automatically a PTO member! (No dues are required.)
Why do we have a PTO?
Fundraising is an important element of the PTO. There is never enough money to do the extra things that we would like our children to experience. By asking for donations of money or donations of your time, we can raise money to add extra enhancements like assemblies and field trips to the education of our children.
When & Where are PTO meetings?
PTO meetings are held monthly at Ordway. Meetings begin at 8:15 am and end by 9:15 am unless otherwise noted. The minutes of each PTO meeting are posted on the bulletin board outside the office and on the Ordway website. The PTO Board welcomes your suggestions and comments. We look forward to a great year at Ordway and encourage all of you to share in it.
